Rebekah Burke has a powerful message— and she delivers it through her strong, graceful & honest aerial hoop performances. It's not just a circus act; it's not just a dance routine. She combines both a strength of body and a strength of heart to reach into her audience to wring out an emotional & uplifting response.
Rebekah studied ballet and contemporary dance at the North Carolina School of the Artsunder the direction of Ethan Stiefel. She then attended Ellison Ballet in New York City and the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, as well as spending three summers at American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive in New York City.
But she soon found that her heart and strength were above the stage, rather than on it. After ballet school Rebekah found aerial arts through Seanna Sharpe at Mad Sharpe Productions. A few months later she started training cerceau in NYC with Jan Manke and also began freelance aerial performing. She then continued her studies in aerial and performance in Los Angeles at Nathalie Gaulthier's Le Studio under many notable coaches including Joshua Zehner, Jason Berrent, Alan Ascencio, Petra Sprecher and Michelle Sargent.
Rebekah merges intensive strength training with continuous artistic & technical work to create her unique and powerful style of aerial hoop.
Her other talents include:
